“ *A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe* .” Keeping the same in mind, *Delhi Public School Meerut* organised *Orientation Programme* for the parents (as partners in progress) of **Classes VI - IX* to familiarize them, with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. *DPS Meerut* always seeks parents' support for collaborative learning and with this motive the parents were briefed on the benefits of effective communication between parents and teachers. Few tips on good parenting were also shared. Moving further, in detail they were briefed about *NEP 2020 and NCF, rules and regulations of Examination throughout the session, disciplinary actions, information about various subjects and the activities , the co-scholastic activities, curriculum self-directed with hands-on learning activities* etc. The Principal, Mr. N.Singh and Vice Principal, Dr. Varsha Bhardwaj addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of role of parents, students and teachers. The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner. It will also help in evolving a common teaching strategy to help the parents in identifying suitable follow up methods to reinforce the learning process of their children.
