Hindi Declamation
Traffic Department, Meerut District organised a Hindi Declamation Contest on the topic “Road Safety: A Challenge” on 30th November, 2019 at Deva Nagri Inter College Meerut. Around 70 students participated in the competition.
Avni Tomar of standard IX-C gave a sterling performance and obtained second position, thus bringing laurels to our prestigious institution. She was felicitated by Chief Guest, Mrs. Sarojini Agarwal (Vidhan Parishad Member) and Senior Transport Officer, Mr. O.P. Singh. The felicitation consisted of a trophy, Rs 11,000 cash prize and a certificate.
Avni Tomar was also acknowledged at the school by Pro Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Shashi Singh and Manager, Mr. Atul Singh. Director, Dr. Akanksha Singh declared that being a good orator is a reflection of a good student. Principal, Mrs. Savita Chadha and Vice Principal, Mr. Shalabh Sharma congratulated the student and the faculty members for grooming her well .

‘Uttar Pradesh Roller Skating Competition- 2019’ was organised by Roller skating Federation of India from 15th to 19th November 2019 at Greeno Stadium, Noida. The competition was inaugurated by President, Uttar Pradesh Roller Skating Association, Mr. Naresh Sharma. 800 skaters from 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh participated in their respective age groups. Vedang Mudgal of Delhi Public School, Meerut won the Bronze Medal with flying colours in the 200 metre skating race, in 5-7 years age group and brought laurels to the school.
The event was contested in a befitting sportsman spirit and paved the way for selection of participants for future representation at higher forums. As such, Skating is a discipline which promotes health and coordination and is hence actively practised in D.P.S. Meerut.
The student and his sports faculty were felicitated and encouraged by Pro Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Shashi Singh, Principal, Mrs. Savita Chadha and Vice Principal, Mr. Shalabh Sharma. Director of Delhi Public School, Meerut, Dr. Akanksha Singh congratulated the budding sportsperson and asserted that Delhi Public School, Meerut does not leave any stone unturned when it comes to sports.
This medal is testament to the fact that D.P.S. Meerut is aiming at an overall holistic growth of its pupils by giving them adequate exposure to various contemporary sports disciplines. We stand by our motto of ‘Service Before Self’.

The DPS National Athletics Meet Girls (U-14)-2019 was held from 7th to 9thof November, 2019 at DPS, Prayagraj. This year, there were 22 schools which participated in the meet. Dr. D. R. Saini, the recipient of the prestigious National Award for Teachers and the Director of Delhi Public School Society was the Chief Guest for the event.
Delhi Public School, Meerut, has been expanding its horizon into the sports arena. The students had prepared themselves to participate in The DPS National Athletics Meet Girls (U-14)-2019 held at DPS, Prayagraj at Allahabad and have proved as a team with a fighting spirit ignited within themselves. This attitude has paved way to the beginning of the success story.
The students bagged the 1st Place - receiving certificates and medals. Radhika Saini of class VII bagged Gold in Long Jump as well as High Jump. Kanishka Tyagi of class viii bagged the first position in Shot put.
The coaches, Mr Vivek Malik and Miss Anshuli Chaurasia were recognized for their dedication and resilience.
Director of DPS, Meerut, Dr Akanksha Singh and Principal, Mrs. Savita Chadha congratulated the champions and encouraged the girls to keep the flag of DPS, Meerut fly high and pass on the baton to the upcoming competent athletes. Indeed, it was a proud moment to cherish.

On October 11, 2019, Angel Malik student of Class 9, Delhi Public School Meerut proved her mettle at National Hindi Olympiad 2019, by winning National Hindi Excellence Award. She was also awarded a gold medal, a shield and cash prize of Rs. 3100. She not only made her parents proud but also her school and the whole district.
The school also bagged four gold medals, four silver medals and six bronze medals.

It is indeed a proud moment for the DPS family to see the Head of the School being acknowledged and honoured on a National platform with this prestigious award along with 75 other Principals from varied reputed schools of the country. 23 students of DPS Meerut took part in Table Tennis tournament held at Guru TeghBahadur Public School, Meerut. This was initiated by First Inder Mohan Singh Memorial Inter School Table Tennis Championship 2019. Almost 10 school, of the city participated in both junior and senior levels.
It was a proud moment for DPS Meerut, when Aryan Parashar, Satyam Yadav, Divyansh and Manan bagged first prize in under 14 tournaments. In senior category, Rehan, Yash Jain and BhavyaGarg showed their best efforts in swiping the First Runner UpTrophy. In individuals, Navya stood third bringing proud to the institution.
Principal Mrs. SavitaChadha congratulated and appreciated the performances shown by these students. She also wished them best of luck for their upcoming tournaments.

Delhi Public School Meerut brought another laureate in the sport of Shooting for10 metre Air Pistol shooting championship.GuniBhatnagar of class IX participated in this championship from 11 Augustto 18 Aug 2019 at Meerut district organised by U.P State Rifle association, Lucknow. She bagged bronze Medal in ISSF (International shooting , sports federation) 10 metre Air pistol team event.Principal SavitaChadha appreciated GuniBhardwaj for all her dedication and efforts. She also said nothing is difficult but everything becomes easy if you have passion for it.

Khushboo Agarwal of class VIII-C from Delhi Public School, Meerut recently participated in 01st MAI National Majorette-Sport and Dance Championship 2018. The event was organised by Majorette Sport and Dance Association of Goa-MSDAG.
The event held from 13th & 14th October’18 and she participated in Solo dance category. Her passion paid off well as she secured God Medal in the Championship. Her victory is a matter of honour for both, her parents as well as her school, Delhi Public School, Meerut.
The Principal, Ms. Savita Chadha congratulated her abundantly and advised her to reform to the same level in her upcoming international championship. The Principal lauded as well as acknowledged her hard work in the best possible way.

19th January 2019, marks a red-letter day in the history of Delhi Public School, Meerut as the result of JEE mains examination was announced. For every individual being of DPS, the result brought waves of happiness and pride.
36% of the total appeared students passed the exam with flying colours.

Adding to the glory of DPS Meerut, NamanAgarwal our alumini who is presently student of ‘University Institute of Engineering and Technology’ has been awarded national award along with cash prize of Rs 75,000 for securing forst position at HackothanTechnoutsav for developing a ‘Face Detection System’.
This technoutsav was organized on the theme ‘Internet of Things (IOT)’ in hyderabad on 15th and 16th April 2019 in which around 14000 participants participated. 32 teams were selected for the final round. Naman and his team attained 1st position in this completion.

Parth Narayan Singh from class XII of Delhi Public School Meerut has got AIR-4 (OPH) in PMT (NEET). Making us proud, he has qualified for admission in MBBS in Jawahar Lal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and research (JIPMER). Parth Narayan Singh had taken admission in class 1st in 2005 in Delhi Public School Meerut. Despite being a physical challenge this brilliant student never gives up his hard work. We are also proud to announce that Pranav Maheshwari of class XII also got admission in the prestigious IIT Kanpur and brought laurels to school.
Kunal Bhatia and Nalini Maheshwari added another feather to cap by seeking admission in reputed foreign universities i.e. University of Illinois Urbana-Champain-Urbana Illinois, Usa and Lasalle College of Arts–Singapore respectively.
We seek pride in announcing that Videeta Sharma with 124th rank and Akshat Gupta with 410th rank from Class X who have received special scholarships in UPSTSE (UP Science Talent Search Exam) organised on 30.05.2017.

Delhi Public School Meerut has always been a plethora to acknowledge the talent and hard work of the students.
In lieu to this, Sparsh Gupta, alumnus, batch 2012-13, the school topper with 97.5% was felicitated. He bagged the second position in CPT and has completed his CA. He is a proud son of Mr. Shiv Gupta a renowned CA. Sparsh added another feather to the crown by being 43rd rank holder in all India.
Sfoorti Gupta , another younger laureate of the family, alumnus 2016-17 batch cleared CPT this year. She visited the school campus to motivate and guide the students of class XI & XII Commerce about the preparations for board examinations. She guided the students how to set realistic goals, following proper time management techniques. There was one to one interaction of students with Sfoorti, where they had their doubts clarified.
Principal, Mrs. Savita Chadha, facilitated the alumni and further motivated the students to make the school proud of them in near future.
Multi Skills Inter School Competition
DPS MEERUT PROVES HER MULTI DIMENTIONAL REPERTOIRE
Forwarding the legacy of giving excellence to the city, DPS, Meerut has added one more Gem to its crown. A team consisting of 14 students participated in a Multi Skill Inter School Competition held at Meerut Public Girls School, Shastri Nagar, Meerut. The Students participated in six different categories of competition namely Pen Your Thoughts, Jingle a Tagline, Postero Mania, Scrap Book Making, Lets Debate and Poetry. The format of the competition had lot of verbal nods. Students from DPS, Meerut proved their characteristic academic and co curricular metal and left every one in profound amazement by bearing away a magnificent victory.
Besides the natural enthusiasm and zeal, Dipsites expressed extra ordinary confidence by going the hog and smilingly brought the shining Rolling Trophy to DPS, Meerut. Shubhi Singhal bagged the first prize in the category of Essay Writing, Girisha stood first in Poetry Writing and Akshita begged the first prize in Model Presentation. Avni won Second position in Scrap Book Making where as Shristi Jain received special admiration prize in Jingle a Tagline. There is an air of festivity in school premises especially amongst the members of literary club.
This has really been an excellent initiation with the commencement of the new session 2016-17.
